Artist Statement : "My landscape paintings are inspired by my spiritual connection to the natural world. My reverence for the land I paint is expressed in an energetic, impressionistic style. My color palette and my treatment of light and shadow bring my landscapes to life and create a sense of movement. The push and pull of color and light forces the opening up of my paintings and convey their spiritual energy. Each painting or drawing is a view into my inner self. Like pages in a book they reveal a time and space though the filter of my artist’s eyes. My challenge in the creation process is to search within for inspirational images and reveal them, fueling my spiritual journey. I believe it takes you, the viewer, to complete my paintings. I invite viewers to participate by applying their own experience to the interpretation of my work."
