 Marge Rushka

I love painting outdoors and was out at an orchard on December 26th last year. I have painted in every kind of weather from the heat of summer to down pouring of rain. Every second year I have an opportunity to paint in California when we visit our son in Santa Rosa and travel throughout Sonoma and Napa Valley counties. This is my golden opportunity to visit and paint from the Pacific Ocean to the Sierra Mountains.
Here in the midwest and along the eastern seaboard our family members have us join them for their annual vacations at the seashore. and the great lakes. Then this coming summer a family reunion takes us to the Canadian Rocky Mountains and I will be painting at Banff and Jasper National parks. The beauty of such scenes as Lake Louise, Maligne Lake, Columbia Ice Field and Moraine Lake draw me to them like a magnet.
Artists and organizations such as Edward Lis at the Wayne Art Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Richard Black at Sinclair College in Dayton Ohio have helped to hone my skills to better capture my first love, outdoor painting with the Ohio Plein Air Society.
