Artist Statement : "Each painting I do takes me on a new journey. Whether it is a landscape, still life or portrait, I get to escape to another place and time. I find myself arriving there, slowly but deliberately. As if I knew it always existed, but has yet to be discovered. I especially enjoy the challenge of Plein Air painting. Facing nature with nothing but brushes, paint and canvas will really put you in your place. Recording her beauty for all time and allowing others to see with your eyes is a privilege that all artists share.
