CAROL
COSGROVE was awarded 2nd Place at the
6th Annual Dublin Paintout for her oil painting
entitled Breakfast on the Patio. Juror comments:
"Not too many artists would take on this challenge
for and entirely red dominate painting, The artist
uses a broad spectrum of reds from the cool
(purples) to the warm (oranges) to create the value
shifts. The composition of the umbrellas create a
playful feeling in the painting." 3rd Place was
awarded to GARY CHACONAS
for his Oil titled "Street Scene". Juror commentsL
"Effective use of under painting that makes the
painting pop in unexpected spots. I like the loose
spontaneous brushwork. The edges are well controlled
and effective. Further your choice of canvas size
really complements your composition." Congrats to
you both!!!
